Resources
We all know that plants are dynamic, living things, and because we understand so much about our own plants (we carry out trials around the world) we appreciate the subtle differences regarding their growth and habit.
Which is why it’s worthwhile visiting the section of our site which gives you local information – which plants are available; when it’s best to plant, prune and feed them; tips and so on. It’s all here to help you enjoy them more.
University Sites & Government
Below is a selection of Sites run by Extension Services at various Land Grant Universities across the U.S. Public education in horticulture and agriculture is part of the mandate of these institutions, which were created by different acts of Congress over the years, beginning with the Morrill Act in 1862.
Each of these sites is a great resource for you as a gardener in your region.
Commercial or Association Sites
There are tons of commercial and association sites on the Web. Below is a sampling of some worthy of note. Of course all gardening magazines have sites, and most local newspapers have sites with local gardening information. We’ve listed just Web-only sites.
